Community-Driven Research Day (CDRD) is a program that encourages collaboration between researchers and community-based organizations (CBOs) / community groups who have research questions that they are interested in answering. We are committed to community-based participatory research, which includes the basic tenet that both community partners and research partners are involved in all phases of research, allowing community capacity and related opportunities to be developed and sustained. Small grants are awarded to promising community partner-researcher collaborations annually through a competitive submission process.

Registration for CBOs/Community Groups:

CBOs and community groups who are interested in developing a partnership to conduct research are urged to participate in an interactive poster presentation. Posters should highlight the organization’s/CBO’s mission, goals and major accomplishments, as well as display questions that they are interested in answering about health equity and social determinants of health.

Click here to register as a poster presenter. (CBOs/community groups only)
Registration deadline: November 28th

Registration for Non-Presenters (Faculty, Staff, Students, Non-presenting CBOs/Community Groups):

Individuals interested in meeting and partnering with representatives from CBOs/community groups are urged to register and attend Community-Driven Research Day.

Click here to register as a non-presenter.
Registration deadline: November 30th
