9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance
Posted by Corporation for National and Community Service on August 17, 2015
September 11th, 2015 marks the annual National Day of Service and Remembrance, a day to honor the lives of those who were lost and commemorate the spirit of compassion and generosity that followed. On this anniversary, Americans will unite in service in the same remarkable way that so many have come together for the last 14 years.
We ask that you join us in honoring this day by planning a 9/11 Day event in your community. As you are doing so, please don’t forget to:
Post your opportunity at Serve.gov not later than September 20
http://www.serve.gov/?q=site-page/september-11th-national-day-service-and-remembrance
Visit the September 11th website to find tools to help you plan and promote your project
Join us for our 911 WEBINAR on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at 1:00PM EST to receive important information on reporting and available resources. Webinar details will be sent soon so SAVE THE DATE!
In the meantime, don’t forget to join us on Twitter at @NationalService and use the #911day hashtag to promote your service event.
