8th Annual Spring Institute
Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on April 9, 2018
The Philadelphia Education Fund’s Philadelphia Postsecondary Success Program (PPSP) invites you to join us on Friday, April 27th from 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm at our 8th Annual Spring Institute at the Community College of Philadelphia. Spring Institute is a FREE professional learning opportunity for secondary and postsecondary educators and practitioners to convene and share knowledge as it relates to the alignment of teaching and learning practices at both levels. This year’s Spring Institute, featuring Keynote Speaker Sara Goldrick-Rab, will focus on the important issues and barriers impacting students’ success in secondary and postsecondary education. Participants are invited to join us as we discuss students’ barriers, bring awareness to the role we have as educators in responding to students’ needs and embracing a trauma-informed lens, and share strategies to design learning spaces that distribute power in the classroom.
