6th Annual Books & Community Resource Fair – Jun 13
Posted by Literacy Moments Magazine on May 12, 2026
Join us for the 6th Annual Books & Community Resource Fair hosted by Literacy Moments Magazine and the Just For Us Girls Foundation taking place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Miles Mack Playground, 732 N 36th Street, Philadelphia.
Many communities still lack easy access to bookstores, libraries, and literacy resources. This event was created to help bridge that gap by bringing books, resources, authors, and community directly into the neighborhood.
This is more than a place where authors simply sell books and talk about their work. It is a space where families can connect, discover resources, meet new people, support local businesses, enjoy culture, and experience the joy of literacy together.
We are excited to welcome over 20+ local authors, community organizations, vendors, workshops, live entertainment, storytelling, poetry, music, and more. We still have space available for additional authors, organizations, and community partners who would like to participate. You can contact Dr. Kym Oglesby at literacymoments@gmail.com or 484-501-1886.
We are also honored to partner with the Black Authors Association to provide donated books to individuals and families who RSVP.
