IPRAXIS is a non-profit organization that connects underserved students in the Philadelphia area with top academic research institutions and cutting-edge life science and technology companies.
IPRAXIS transforms its students into active and enthusiastic learners and gives Scienteers the opportunity to make a lifelong difference in a child’s life. Since its founding in 2005, IPRAXIS has recruited nearly 500 Scienteers (science and technology volunteers) who have inspired and changed the lives of some 2,000 students in more than 20 schools.
Our programs address the needs of students who have historically been underrepresented in the fields of science and technology. It is our belief that by providing an equitable education for all students, regardless
of race or economic background, we can change the face of science.
“I was lucky enough to have mentors from a very early age who inspired me to seek out my dreams. It became about succeeding for others as much as for myself.”
Marquita Qualls, Ph.D.
