The inaugural From the Fire: Leadership Academy for Young Men is a two-week boarding program on the campus of Princeton University. From the Fire is tailored to scholars from diverse socio-economic backgrounds who are currently in the ninth, tenth, or eleventh grades of high school. From the Fire seeks to nurture and cultivate scholars by providing a rich educational environment that combines leadership projects, mentoring from male leaders, and an exceptional Rites of Passage program. Participants will be talented scholars with stellar academics and community service. The Program Chair is the famed Actor and Director Delroy Lindo. He has provided memorable performances in films such as The Cider House Rules, Heist, Clockers, Crooklyn, Malcolm X, and Ransom. Lindo is passionate about helping to secure a positive future for young men of color.
