The 3rd Youth Outreach, Education and Empowerment Summit: One City, One Voice on Saturday, June 20th at Temple University’s Student Center for youth ages 13-24 and adults who teach, parent and advocate for youth. We have incredible social and sexual health workshops, dance-off competition, HIV testing, raffles for iPods and gift certificates, breakfast, lunch, and ice-cream.
This year, the 3rd Annual Youth Outreach, Education and Empowerment Summit will be featuring an adult track for parents, teachers, and advocates of youth. These four social and sexual health workshops were designed by youth and will be facilitated by youth with the goal of promoting a better understanding of how adults can support young people with reducing their risk. The workshops will include: HIV 101: A History of Stigma, Safer Sex and Harm Reduction, Stereotypes and Sexuality and How to Advocate for youth.
