3rd Annual Youth Engagement Conference: The Next Level Leaders

Growing up in a big city today is not easy. Every day youth in Philadelphia are faced with many obstacles. The challenges vary from using the social media responsibly, driving safely, practicing safe sex, to dealing with local youth gun violence, avoiding bullying in or around at school and even overcoming negative media stereotypes.
On Saturday, April 19, 2014, the Department of Human Services, Family and Community Support Center in conjunction with the Philadelphia Youth Leadership Council will sponsor “The 3rd Annual Youth Engagement Conference: The Next Level Leaders”. The event, a community platform will illuminate the challenges and obstacles that youth in Philadelphia encounter on a daily basis. The one day conference will take place at the Temple Learning Center and Education Facility, 2450 West Hunting Park Avenue, from 8:30am – 3:30 pm. The day will include: Keynote speakers, workshops, video presentations, networking, expert panels, giveaways, Guest radio and TV personalities and a resource fair.
