- How to Make Classes More Interactive
Although the Institute is intensive in that there are morning, afternoon and some evening seminars, the experience is most enjoyable since such a wide array of topics are discussed. Participating faculty often become quite involved in the topics, and all who attend are required to design an action plan for their next semester of teaching based on one of the topics addressed during the Institute. One of the important aspects of the Summer Institute is the emphasis on the practical application of what is learned. The Summer Institute is specifically designed to have an impact on the teaching and learning process, and hopefully have a long-term positive effect on the faculty member.
