Child abuse prevention conference scheduled
The 2nd Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference will be presented on April 25th by the Child Protection Program and The Family Safe Zone at St. Christopher’s Hospital, 3601 A Street in Philadelphia.
The theme of this year’s conference is What Can I Do? Putting Child Abuse Prevention into Practice.
The goal of the conference is to present child abuse prevention as a public health issue and to explore ways that practitioners can address adverse childhood experiences and toxic stress in everyday practice as a means of increasing community support and preventing child abuse and neglect.
The conference will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Child Protection Program and will have an award ceremony to recognize Dr. Angelo P. Giardino, and his contribution to founding the Child Protection Program.
The conference is free with lunch provided and registration begins at 7:30am. There is a $15 fee for CME, CNE or CEU credit.
