20th Annual National Youth-At-Risk Youth Conference

Description
We encourage you to attend the 20th Annual National Youth-At-Risk Conference on March 1-4, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Savannah, Georgia. Georgia Southern University sponsors the conference in cooperation with other universities, school districts, and social agencies.
Over 1300 participants attend over 130 sessions. Nationally recognized presenters share field-tested programs and strategies on how to create safe, healthy, caring, and intellectually empowering educational environments to promote the well-being of ALL our young people.
Attend Pre-Conference Workshops, Sunday, March 1, 2:00-5:00 pm: Moving Schools from Violence to Virtues, Building Motivational Relationships with Youth, Helping Girls Discover their Purpose, Helping Students Graduate, and the Dark Side of the Internet.
Hear firsthand from the staff of high-flying schools and learn how these schools are attaining high achievement with high-poverty and high-minority students.
