2026 Diverse Teacher Pipeline Grant Application – Mar 27

The Center for Black Educator Development is excited to announce that our 2026 Diverse Teacher Pipeline Grant Application is now open! We are seeking to support nonprofit organizations that are working to rebuild diverse teacher pipelines in their local communities. If your organization supports the recruitment, development and/or retention of diverse teachers, then we invite you to apply for this grant opportunity. Applicants can apply for grant funding for up to $100,000.
We are currently prioritizing organizations serving the following regions (organizations outside of these regions are welcome to apply, however, priority will be given to our regions of interest):
California
Connecticut
Illinois
Massachusetts
Maryland
Michigan
Missouri
North Carolina
Pennsylvania
New Jersey
New York
Tennessee
Washington D.C.
Please note that this is a one-year grant and the grant funds requested must be utilized strictly for the purposes outlined in the proposal and budget. Upon grant reporting, all expenditures must align with the goals and objectives specified.
Additional eligibility criteria include:
- The organization is a 501(c)(3) organization or public school institution that seeks to address the need to recruit and/or retain more diverse teachers (fiscal sponsors are also eligible).
- The organization is based in and doing work on behalf of communities in our priority regions.
- The organization has been in operation for at least one year.
- The organization employs at least one full-time equivalent employee.
- A 990 or 990 EZ Form has been filed on behalf of the organization for the most recent fiscal year or the organization’s most recent audited financial statement can be provided.
