Join us for the third annual Pennsylvania Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA-PA) unconference on Saturday, February 17th, from 9:00 – 11:30 am.
This interactive event will feature guided discussions led by PaTTAN Computer Science (CS) consultants and leaders from the Pennsylvania chapters of the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA). Participants will break out into smaller groups to tackle key topics in CS education such as: recruiting students to CS, teaching CS with evidence-based practices, and engaging community partners in CS education.
Objectives: Participants will:
- Identify evidence-based instructional practices and resources.
- Describe strategies for recruiting underrepresented students to CS.
- Develop individual goals for CS professional growth.
Target Audience: School Librarians, K-12 General Ed, Special Education and English Language Learner teachers
