2023 J.M.K. Innovation Prize for the Environment, Heritage Conservation & Social Justice – Apr 28

Calling All Nonprofit Innovators & Social Entrepreneurs: Applications are open for the 2023 J.M.K. Innovation Prize. Now in its fifth cycle, the Prize seeks to identify, support, and elevate innovators who are spearheading transformative early-stage projects in the fields of the environment, heritage conservation, and social justice.
This year, the J.M. Kaplan Fund will award 10 Prizes, each including a cash award of $150,000 over three years, plus $25,000 for project expenses, for a total of $175,000. Awardees also receive guidance through the Fund and its resource network, including convenings with their Prize cohort and tools and training to support them through the challenges of a startup organization.
Applications are due by April 28th, open to projects in:
- The Environment: Slowing the pace of climate change and mitigating climate impacts.
- Heritage Conservation: Protecting the places that communities care about most.
- Social Justice: Strengthening democracy and reforming the criminal justice and immigration systems.
