2022 STEM Teaching Fellows Program, PEF – Feb 23
Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on February 8, 2022
The McKinney Center for STEM Education is once again offering its STEM Teaching Fellows Program, an intensive short-term professional development series designed for teachers and informal educators. This year we have two different opportunities:
- The PECO STEM Teaching Fellows Program is for School District of Philadelphia K-8th public and charter school teachers of all content areas. It will take place on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30pm from mid-February through early May 2022
- The Johnson Matthey STEM Teaching Fellows Program is for out-of-school time and informal educators working with 6th-12th grade students. It will take place on Thursdays from 9:30am-11:30am from the end of March to the end of May 2022
These workshops will be held virtually and cover a variety of topics related to STEM teaching and learning. Fellows in both programs will then produce and present engaging STEM lesson plan to implement with their learners. Completing either program will provide critical professional development and valuable relationships with Philadelphia STEM experts. Participants will also receive Act 48 credits, a $300.00 stipend, resource materials, and assistance with their Capstone Projects. Both applications are due Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
