Institute Details

The Institute on Integrative Learning and Signature Work (ILSW) will assist college and university teams in developing faculty and staff leadership to advance programs and curricula that build students’ capacity to integrate their learning across general education, majors, and the co-curriculum and connect it to prior professional, academic, and life experiences inside and outside the classroom. Admission to the Institute is competitive and limited; all accredited two- and four-year institutions are encouraged to apply.

AAC&U’s Institute on Integrative Learning and Signature Work is designed for faculty and administrative teams leading change to deepen students’ integrative learning over time—connecting general education with learning in the major and curricular with co-curricular learning.

AAC&U is pleased to hold the ILSW in conjunction with Interfaith Youth Core’s “Institute on Teaching and Learning for Campus-wide Interfaith Excellence”—a partnership created in recognition of the increasing global, national, and local relevance of religious identity and diversity within American higher education. Although AAC&U and IFYC will offer programming based on the specific institute’s goals, all participants will be welcome to attend any session, meet with any faculty advisor, and consult with faculty experts of both Institutes.

Information on AAC&U’s Institute on Integrative Learning and Signature Work is available online or by contacting Jasmine Epps at Epps@aacu.org.
