Posted by PennSERVE on March 26, 2019
PennSERVE Announces a Request for Applications for 2019-2020 Pennsylvania AmeriCorps State Grants
Across the country, AmeriCorps engages more than 75,000 Americans in intensive service each year at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups. AmeriCorps produces a triple bottom-line: for those who serve, those who are served, and for Pennsylvania’s communities.
Grants are available for the operation of AmeriCorps programs by community and faith-based organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions.
A Notice of Intent to Apply is required for this competition and is due by Tuesday, April 2, at 5:00 pm. Applications are due Thursday, April 25, by 5:00 pm.
PennSERVE’s Request For Applications (RFA) is available here. Please review the RFA for submission requirements.
PennSERVE will host an in-person technical assistance session on April 10, 2019. This session is not required, but strongly encouraged, particularly for new or recompeting grantees. Registration information will be made available to organizations that submit a Notice of Intent to Apply by the deadline.
AmeriCorps in Pennsylvania
This year, PennSERVE is supporting nearly 1,400 individuals in Pennsylvania as they meet community needs through service in AmeriCorps. With funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service that is administered by PennSERVE, AmeriCorps members dedicate themselves to intensive community service. The experience meets critical needs and provides on-the-job career training.
