The 2018 ASAP Directory of After School Programs Presented by Wells Fargo and the Philadelphia Media Network

Many Philadelphia families found the answers to their after school needs on Thursday, September 13th in the After School Activities Partnerships (ASAP) 2018 Directory of After school programs, was released in the Philadelphia Daily News, and for the first time, the Philadelphia Inquirer! Organizations and individuals can request additional copies of the Directory by contacting ASAP Directory Coordinator Paul Carroll ([email protected] or 215-545-2727, ext. 11). Families can also search for programs by visiting ASAP’s website (http://www.phillyasap.org/directory)

BACKGROUND:

ASAP’s 2018 Directory of After School Programs is a resource to help families in Philadelphia make informed decisions about the after school hours. Organized by zip code, the 2018 ASAP Directory has more than 1,250 listings of sites that provide after school programs—everything from sports, arts & cultural, environmental, tutoring and academic enrichment, career exposure – you name it, the Directory has it. The ASAP Directory also includes information on which sites provide financial assistance, transportation, language services, or are ADA accessible.

Thanks to the steadfast support of Philadelphia Media Network and Wells Fargo, the 2018 ASAP Directory was published in both the Philadelphia Daily News and the Philadelphia Inquirer, reaching an estimated 600,000 readers in the region. Additional copies of the Directory will be distributed to families and youth workers citywide through partnerships with the School District of Philadelphia and the Department of Human Services.

ASAP also thanks our key partners who are helping raise awareness for the importance of after school, including the City of Philadelphia’s Out-of-School Time Initiative, United Way 211, Broke In Philly, and Resolve Philadelphia.
