2015-2016 School Support Census: Key Findings

2015-16 School Support Census Report Now Available
The Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE) has released its report on last year’s School Support Census. The purpose of the census was to systematically identify the external organizations that are providing support to our schools.
In the report, ORE provides a general overview of the 1,690 identified supports and examine their distribution by school type and location. The most commonly identified supports were in the following areas: health and wellness, donations, OST/after-school programming, mental and behavioral health, and STEM or STEAM. ORE also collected information on school needs during the census.The most pressing need areas identified by the schools are: mental and behavioral health, mentoring, parent and community engagement, attendance and truancy, tutoring, and arts and cultural enrichment.
