This year, the National Disability Inclusion Leadership Development Institute will provide a mix of cutting edge inclusion topics including:

Disability Inclusion Train-the-Trainer: A two-day, highly interactive training from the basics to the more complex aspects of inclusion. Participants will gain the skills necessary to provide in-depth training on a variety of inclusion topics, the tools and resources to create inclusive policies and procedures, and the skills required to design effective outreach and recruitment plans. If you select this option, you will need to attend both days. The first day is about learning the information, the second day is about the application of what you have learned.

Veterans and Wounded Warrior Advanced Institute Track: Learning from multifaceted viewpoints, including the national service network, military personnel, Operation Able Vets and alumni, we will explore how to establish national service as a desired transition option for returning military members.

Service as a Path to Employment Advanced Institute Track: Together we will explore how service participants contribute to the community, gain valuable skills, explore career paths, and develop social networks that can lead to competitive employment. This track will identify effective practices in working with vocational rehabilitation and developmental disability agencies in recruiting and supporting individuals in service. This session will include information about Department of Labor services available through a network of American Job Centers.
