2011 Service-Learning Symposium / Showcase
Featuring Keynote Speaker:
Elizabeth Rosemeyer, J.D., Executive Director, The Pittsburgh Project
Saturday, March 26, 2011
9:00 am – 3:45 pm
Community College of Allegheny County – South Campus, Building B
This year’s theme, “The Impact of Community Engagement: Moving from Outputs to Outcomes” gives attendees a look at different ways in which organizations and educational institutions are trying to measure the impact of community engagement. Our key note addresses will feature perspectives from both a higher education administrator and a community partner who have experienced the impact of service-learning first-hand. Conference participants will include faculty, administrators, students, and community service providers who wish to discuss service-learning and the ways it can positively impact our region.
Join us as a community partner, student, or faculty! At this year’s symposium we have created a space in which students may display posters informing of their current or previous experiences with Service – Learning, and community partners will have tables with information, so that connections can be made between students, university faculty and staff and agency directors and staff.
If you have questions regarding the event please contact Maribel Guati Rojo at: [email protected] , or visit our website for session descriptions, registration and event information: http;//www.duq.edu/springnetwork
