The 2011 Educational Strategies & Student Engagement Institute is a combined effort of four formerly separate conferences: Effective Strategies in Dropout Prevention, School Attendance Symposium, Juvenile Justice Education Institute, and Fall Leadership for Volunteer/Community Outreach Programs. The theme of this year’s Institute is “Complete The Journey: Paving The Path To Success.” The Educational Strategies & Student Engagement Institute has invited innovative, skilled presenters who have excellent ideas, proven programs, and research to share in the areas of (1) dropout prevention, (2) attendance and truancy prevention, (3) teen parenting, (4) student engagement, (5) behavior and discipline, (6) community partnerships, (7) parental involvement, (8) juvenile justice education, (9)tutoring/mentoring, (10) volunteer outreach, (11) access to postsecondary, career and technical education, (12) funding/resource issues, (13) data quality, (14) curriculum and instruction, (15) dropout retrieval, (16) service learning, and (17) exceptional student education.
