Scribe Video Center to premiere youth documentaries
The Scribe Video Center will premiere the work of its 2011 Documentary History Project for Youth on Sunday, November 13th at 2pm at the University of the Arts.
The free event will feature documentary videos from youth filmmakers as they explore Philadelphia’s rich history and diverse neighborhoods through sound.
Since April, young filmmakers in Scribe’s Documentary History Project for Youth have been using video and audio recording devices to document a wide variety of local sounds – personal narratives, industrial sounds, sounds of nature, human sounds, sounds of motion, sounds of stillness – as well as how the soundscape of Philadelphia has changed over time.
