Why Wave Week?

? Delegates at Wave Week earn 75 Hours of Community Service just for attending!

giving you skills that can apply to a job someday someday.
? All of this while having fun away from home for a few days.

? Spark the Wave? introduces you to the lessons in a unique peer-learning environment.

? communicating more effectively
? diversity awareness
? taking the lead in a group
? speaking to get people to listen
? getting a group to work more efficiently
? how to increase the impact that you, and your group, can make in the community.
? motivating team member members
? how to plan a great volunteer event
? personality strengths and weaknesses and how to improve on both
? the confidence to know that teens CAN and DO make a difference

Spark the Wave? is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping teens like you take the lead and meet the needs of your community community. What does all that mean? Well, we know that you have incredible power inside you to make a difference. W We want to show you how to harness that power to become a great volunteer and community leader leader. To achieve this goal Spark the Wave? serves teens mainly from Virginia to New York through Wave Week and after-school programs. After attending, you will be eligible to participate in our Service Mentoring program.

Wave Week is a 6-day overnight or day camp experience that takes place from July 15-20, 2007 on the campus of Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. We have 2 TRACKS at Wave Week: 7?9th grade & 10?11th grade. You will meet, do activities activities, room and learn with other, participants near your own age. The 2 TRACKS only meet for meals and large activities. (Note: Final groupings will be based on the numbers and ages of applicants applicants.)
