The deadline for AmeriCorps*National Direct New/Recompeting, Continuation and Planning Grant applications is March 2, 2004. The application instructions and the 2004 AmeriCorps Guidelines can be found at <a href="http://www.americorps.org/resources/guidelines2004.html">http://www.americorps.org/resources/guidelines2004.html</a>. To enter eGrants, visit the following website: <a href="http://www.nationalservice.org/egrants/index.html">http://www.nationalservice.org/egrants/index.html</a>. The Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) that you will use to apply will be available in eGrants by December 22, 2003. Be sure to refer to Chapter 3 of the eGrants manual for guidance in completing your eGrants application. Technical Assistance Conference Calls for AmeriCorps*National Applicants
Beginning in January 2004, a series of technical assistance conference calls will be held. The conference calls will address the requirements of applying for a national direct grant, as well as the topics of tutoring; faith-based and community initiatives; sustainability and capacity building; citizenship and member development; and performance measurement. Conference call topics, dates, times and registration information will be posted on the following website in mid December 2003:
