“2002 James C. Howland Awards for Urban Enrichment”
The National League of Cities (NLC) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2002 James C. Howland Awards for Urban Enrichment. This award is given to those communities that have, through effective policies and thoughtful project planning, demonstrated and encouraged the preservation or enrichment of high quality urban environments. Winners each receive $2000, to be donated to a nonprofit organization designated by the elected leadership of the municipality.
Honorable mention recipients receive $500 each, also to be donated to a nonprofit organization designated by the elected leadership of the municipality. Application deadline: June 28, 2002.
