Women and Influence Conference focuses on immigration
The 12th Annual Women & Influence Conference, sponsored by Women’s Way, will convene on the theme of Women, Families and Immigration on Saturday, February 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Moore College of Art and Design, 20th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. This free conference features workshops, plenary sessions and discussions on issues of importance to women. This year’s theme in is response to the findings of the Women’s Issues Summit and the needs of Women’s Way grantees. It will explore community strategies that sustain, empower and celebrate immigrant women and their families. Keynote speaker is Ai-Jen Poo, director of the National Domestic Workers Union.
