10th International Metropolis Conference:
Our Diverse Cities: Migration, Diversity, Change
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
October 17-21, 2005
International migration is dramatically changing the world’s cities. When urban environments have good policies and programs everyone benefits including immigrants, refugees and their new host communities.
The 10th International Metropolis Conference will feature some of the world’s key thinkers who will stimulate debate on:
* Increasing diversity’s affect on the economic, social, cultural, justice, and political aspects of the world’s cities
* Benefits and challenges of diversity
* Are national migration policies consistent with the interests of the cities?
