The collaboration is a joining of HPC’s Rise Summit event and YSI’s annual “I Can Dream” Teen conference.

This free conference is a youth empowerment event with a unique opportunity for city youth to build self-esteem and chart a positive path for the future. The conference is for youth ages 12 to 18. The goal is to help teens stand up to negative pressures, or influences. Teenagers today face more pressures than ever before. On the outside, most teenagers seem happy, but inside each teenager is a number of negative pressures and influences. The pressure to conform to the negative pressures and influences is one of the strongest pressures teens experience. We recognize that conforming to negative pressures and influences can cause harm to the present and future life of a teenager.

With strong coaching, fun icebreakers, discussion breakouts, swag bags and giveaways, amazing entertainment, and youth presentations, this conference will make a lifetime impact on teens who aspire to be leaders, positive role models and agents of change.
