Through the program, grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded in support of nonprofit organizations operating on the local level (or an affiliate/chapter of a larger organization that operates locally) and directly benefit the service area of the facility from which they are requesting funding. The Walmart Foundation is accepting applications for its Local Community Grant program, which will award grants of up to $5,000 to local nonprofit organizations in support of projects that benefit the community at large such as food pantries, soup kitchens, and clothing closets.
