<p>The Voya Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Voya Financial, works to ensure that youth are equipped with the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) knowledge and financial expertise needed to compete in the twenty-first century workforce and make smart financial decisions that lead to a secure retirement.</p>
<p>To that end, Voya is accepting applications from organizations that provide innovative and experiential K-8 STEM learning opportunities and/or improve teachers&#8217; capabilities in STEM; or provide financial education curriculum to students in grades 9-12 focused on navigating major financial milestones, including student debt, credit, home ownership, financial products and services, and family needs.</p>
<p>1) STEM Education: The foundation supports organizations that fund high-quality experiential STEM learning opportunities for students in grades K-8. Programs are evaluated based on improvements in covered STEM concepts and increased interest in STEM careers generated over the course of the program.</p>
<p>2) Financial Literacy: The foundation supports organizations that provide financial literacy curriculum to students in high school (grades 9-12). Programs must cover student debt, credit, home ownership, investing and understanding of financial products and services (financial capability), and family financial planning.</p>
<p>To be eligible, applicants must be considered tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.</p>

Voya Foundation Issues RFP for College Readiness Programs</p>
<p>The Voya Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Voya Financial, has issued a Request for Proposals for projects designed to help more students graduate from high school prepared for success in college and future careers.</p>
<p>To that end, the program will support new and existing programs that encourage parental involvement as a means to improve high school graduation rates. Initial awards will range between $10,000 and $50,000 for new Voya Foundation partners and/or programs serving only one Voya Financial site, and between $10,000 and $75,000 or more for current or previous partners as well as national programs, depending on the program’s alignment with the foundation’s priorities.</p>
<p>Voya has major offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Braintree, Massachusetts; Des Moines, Iowa; Jacksonville, Florida; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New York City; Scottsdale, Arizona; West Chester, Pennsylvania; and Windsor, Connecticut.</p>
<p>To be eligible, programs and organizations must be a year in length and operate in-school/afterschool activities or create resources that increase parental involvement in children’s academics and engage employee volunteers at one, several, or all areas where Voya Financial has a major office</p>
<p>Proposals are due by March 18, 2016. Finalists will be informed by April 15 and must submit their final application by June 10.</p>
