										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="https://www.phillygoatproject.org/">Philly Goat Project</a> is a nature-based wellness, job training, and educational program at the Farm at Awbury in Germantown. We are seeking a Director for our <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0n5nZZ_vok">Teen Internship Program</a> (TIP), a farm-based job training program for 11-15-year-old BIPOC youth from local public schools. TIP focuses on job readiness, leadership, emotional wellness, life skills, and fostering peer and family relationships.</p>
<p><strong>Role Rundown:</strong> This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position involves working outdoors with teens, schools, and families 50% of the time, regardless of weather, and includes community-based school and family visits. The other 50% of the role supports other PGP programs, goat care, and meetings. Candidates must be available to work three Saturdays per month from 8 AM to 12 PM, as well as two additional mornings during the summer, with alternative days designated as the &#8220;weekend&#8221; during those times. The salary range is $40,000–$52,000 annually, based on the candidate’s qualifications, with a $500 monthly healthcare stipend. Applicants from the BIPOC community are strongly encouraged to apply.</p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Need to Succeed:</strong> The ideal candidate will have experience working with and leading BIPOC youth, whether as a teacher, social worker, or in a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in youth programming, leadership, or community outreach. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) is required, along with strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Candidates must demonstrate cultural awareness, a passion for working with marginalized youth, and experience with trauma-informed practices. Physical health is essential, as the position involves carrying up to 35 lbs. and walking on uneven terrain. The candidate must be vaccinated for COVID as needed, pass all required background checks (Child Abuse, FBI, and Criminal), and be an excellent team player with strong planning, communication, and punctuality skills. No prior experience with goats, farming, or gardening is necessary, but excellent references are required.</p>
