Second: Swipe Out Hunger’s Fueling Solutions: National Convening on Ending College Hunger is set for October 14–15, 2026, tentatively in New Orleans. Students, campus leaders, community champions, Swipe staff, and coalition members will be in the room together for two days of real talk, skill-building, state planning, and momentum-making, all in service of one shared mission: making sure no student has to choose between food and their education.

Registration is coming soon, but in the meantime, we’re already looking for passionate, knowledgeable people (like Y’ALL) to lead sessions. Whether your expertise is in campus initiatives, community organizing, marketing, policy, or something else entirely, we want your voice in this space. If you’ve built something worth sharing, this is your stage.

Swipe Out Hunger campus pantries can apply for a chance to be selected to receive a grant of up to $6,000 to support their pantry in the 2023-2024 academic year. As Black History month continues, we’re reminded of the power behind uplifting Black leadership especially, and creating spaces for communities of color to thrive and collaborate in this transformational work.

This collective is a dedicated safe space for BIPOC food leaders that are working with students, institutions and communities to fight food insecurity. We will be joining together to network, share resources and build community.

Meetings will begin in April, and frequency and timing will be determined by participants.

Leadership Council will be composed of 10-15 individuals from all areas of college anti-hunger work and will meet regularly over the course of a year, beginning mid-March.

This council will be an opportunity for community-building, creating shared expertise and insight about food insecurity at a national level, and participants will be compensated with grants for their pantries/programs with the option for an in-person retreat or other co-created professional development opportunity.
