<p>At its founding in 1961, Pathway was among the very few schools in the greater Philadelphia area designed exclusively for the learning disabled child, and unified the disciplines of psychology, psychiatry, medicine and social work with education. Since then, The Pathway School has increased the size of enrollment and staff who support the students, developed the vibrant learning environment located on a 12-acre campus in Jeffersonville, and solidified its reputation as a leader in innovative, quality programs and services for those who need a specialized education. Throughout all of its growth, the school&#8217;s mission has remained the same: to build academic, social, and life skills in students with special needs, to promote their success and independence after Pathway.</p>
<p>FUNCTIONS: The Director of School Operations is a versatile and team oriented individual with abilities and experience across operations, logistics, finance, and academic administration. An essential function of the position is to enable the Director of Education to focus on instructional leadership – the teaching and learning that drives student outcomes. This position maximizes the school&#8217;s operational performance by developing and refining operational systems, designing and executing short-term and long-term strategies and serving as part of the Pathway School to support the School’s growth.</p>
<p>CORE COMPETENCIES:</p>
<p>· Must be able to manage change effectively and professionally. Must be able to adapt to new processes and procedures;</p>
<p>· Must be able to provide a high level of customer service to both external and internal customers;</p>
<p>· Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills;</p>
<p>· Must be able and willing to problem solve independently. Willing to bring creative and innovative ideas into the department to improve process and procedure.</p>
<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<p>· Advanced Degree in Business, Business Development, Organizational Development, Education Administration, or a related field required.</p>
<p>· Minimum 5- 10 yrs. of demonstrated experience in a relevant leadership role</p>
<p>· Demonstrated competency in managing strategic operations</p>
<p>· Strong supervisory experience required; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports</p>
<p>· Able to concurrently think strategically, manage, be hands-on, and pay attention to day-to-day details</p>
<p>· Must have a broad intellectual capacity, curiosity, and passion for an eclectic range of issues and subjects across the broadest array of areas, including those not yet defined.</p>
<p>· Charismatic, executive-level presence with the ability to establish relationships with key influencers and decision-makers and be viewed as approachable and empathetic by internal staff.</p>
<p>· Proven track record of a high level of performance and achieving objectives.</p>
<p>· Knowledgeable of employment law</p>
<p>· Familiar with staffing and expense budgets;</p>
<p>Compliance Requirements:</p>
<p>· Must comply with Act 168 and submit a completed Sexual Misconduct Form.</p>
<p>· Must able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory PA criminal background check, Child Abuse &amp; FBI clearances and pass a drug test, as well as, a TB Test;</p>
<p>Physical Requirements:</p>
<p>Ability to perform all duties as listed. Physical activity can include climbing stairs, sitting for long periods of time, extensive computer data entry, may include participation in wellness programs that involve walking.</p>
<p>PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<ul>
<li>Create, implement and continually improve Pathway’s operational systems and processes with clear objectives and benchmarks for success.</li>
<li>Accelerate momentum to create sophisticated and scalable operations and people strategy, to drive a rapidly growing business to its next level of maturation without sacrificing performance and efficiency or employee satisfaction.</li>
<li>Integrate into the fabric of the organization to gain deep knowledge of issues and assess issues that serve as barriers to a team or organization’s maximum effectiveness.</li>
<li>Review all school-wide data systems for the accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness.</li>
<li>Partner with professionals at all levels to maximize operational performance when planning annual budget.</li>
<li>Provide project management and oversight to annual school year and extended school year development.</li>
<li>Influence operational excellence and collaboration by problem-solving cross departmentally.</li>
<li>Ensure a culture of customer service and solutions-oriented support for students, families, staff, and visitors</li>
<li>Manage relationships with all third party vendors and outsourced teams. Assist in the research of competitive options.</li>
<li>Develop and implement tracking and reporting systems on all current and upcoming projects.</li>
<li>Meet regularly with the President to provide updates, insights, and recommendations on all facets of the business.</li>

<p>Reports directly to the School President</p>
<p>FUNCTIONS:</p>
<p>The core function of this role is to oversee the school’s overall advancement through development and fundraising in a non-profit, educational environment and in alignment with school-wide growth strategies. This function supports the trustees and senior management in conception, promotion and implementation of ongoing and special programs to generate financial support and volunteer involvement and to ensure the development of informed and supportive constituency and public.</p>
<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<p>Education:</p>
<p>Master’s Degree in Business, Education, Marketing/Public Relations (Non-Profit Arena) Preferred or a Minimum of a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in these areas with more than 5 years of experience.</p>
<p>Experience:</p>
<p>At least 5 or more years of experience in a non-profit, educational or clinical environment specifically in development with a strong background in annual giving strategies, membership programs and events. Development experience in an educational facility or treatment center for special needs children and adolescents is preferred.</p>
<p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Familiar with a variety of the field’s fundraising, community and corporate giving programs.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate proficiency in communication with an appreciation for the Mission of the School.</li>
<li>Strong organization and project management skills required.</li>
<li>An affinity for networking and ability to build rapport with donors, volunteers, and the public.</li>
<li>Comfortable providing hands-on support at events.</li>
<li>Willingness and ability to travel locally for events when needed.</li>
</ul>

<p>PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee all areas of the School’s development and advancement in alignment with the School’s Mission and Strategic Goals. Oversee all fundraising including annual, planned and major gift programs;</li>
<li>Develop goals and strategies for the School’s fundraising program and capital campaign;</li>
<li>Meet with donors and prospective donors to create and foster relationships;</li>
<li>Create a balanced funding mix of donor sources and solicitation programs tailored to the needs of the School;</li>
<li>Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. Lead development of new opportunities that support the overall growth strategy;</li>
<li>Efficiently manage the School’s annual fund and membership programs, which include funds raised thru individual and institutional gifts, special events and corporate sponsorships;</li>
<li>Responsible for reviewing and analyzing the results of past campaigns and developing new initiatives and partnerships;</li>
<li>Work with the School President and other members of Pathway’s Leadership Team to prepare annual development operating plans and budget;</li>
<li>Establish fundraising policies and procedures;</li>
<li>Oversee the Board’s Giving Campaign;</li>
<li>Evaluate, grow and oversee the commemorative giving program;</li>
<li>Manage a portfolio of major donor prospects to cultivate, solicit, and steward;</li>
<li>Manage Major Gift Initiatives with Directors to identify potential major donors and coordinate requests</li>
