<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong> This dual role serves as a second on our Finance team, and a primary in our HR team, with unlimited access to a dedicated HR consultant via Paychex. The role is split equally in time anticipated for each.</p>
<p>The Finance Assistant works closely with the Finance Director to ensure smooth execution of essential financial functions of the nonprofit, including payroll, accounts payable, expense administration, receipt management, and interacts with OCCCDA’s Property tenants, Program staff, and Program funding sources.</p>
<p>The Human Resources Administrator oversees core HR functions, including onboarding and documentation, benefits administration, HR systems (Paychex and Flock), compliance and employee relations, and support for professional development and conflict resolution. The HR Administrator also maintains clear communication with staff and vendors to ensure HR processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational policies.</p>
<p>This position is open as part of a leadership transition and organizational strengthening process. OCCCDA is committed to a stable, collaborative, and mission-centered work environment. <li>Manage food inventory, calculate the number of items that will be packaged in each box per week.</li>
<li>Manage and update the food distribution spreadsheet on a weekly basis.</li>
<li>Create weekly schedules for staff and volunteers.</li>
<li>At the end of each distribution, assure that the area is clean, organized and prepared to welcome shipment.</li>
<li>Pick-up resources including food, diapers, and other donations on an as needed basics.</li>
<li>Ensure our programs and events incorporate our mission of meeting people’s holistic needs.</li>
<li>Provide support for special events including festivals, volunteer events, and other community events.</li>

<li>An understanding of and a commitment to carry out the mission of Oxford Circle CCDA</li>
<li>The ability to engage students in grades K-5 through creative academic activities and homework</li>
<li>Bachelor degree in Education or related field or two (2) years’ experience in a classroom. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered</li>
<li>Satisfactory clearances and obtain a CPR and First Aid Certification within 3 months of employment</li>
<li>Ability to work independently is a must</li>

<p><strong>Description</strong>:<br />
Based in the Oxford Circle neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA, the Oxford Circle Christian Community Development Association (OCCCDA) is seeking a Group Leader. The mission of OCCCDA is “to extend healing and hope in the Oxford Circle community, believing that God’s purpose of reconciling all people to Jesus leads us to minister on spiritual, physical, social &amp; economic levels.” The Group Leader is responsible for assisting with daily out of school programming during program hours: Monday-Friday from 2:30:00-6:00pm with possibility of working during summer camp, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Rate is $12/hour.</p>
<p><strong>Time commitment</strong>:  Approximately 17.5 hours per week</p>
<p><strong>Job responsibilities</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Help maintain a safe, clean and quality program</li>
<li>Supervise daily activities of children specifically in regards to assigned group</li>
<li>Establish positive relationships with all staff, program participants and their families</li>
<li>Be a positive and compassionate role model</li>
<li>Attend required training, weekly staff meetings and supervision</li>
<li>Follow instructions and daily schedule provided by Program Coordinator</li>
<li>Assist children with homework, instruction, activities and other assigned learning activities</li>
<li>Use positive behavior reinforcement</li>
<li>Follow discipline and structure for program</li>
<li>Assist in planning and implementing final program highlighting youth accomplishments</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Job qualifications</strong>:</p>

<li>A commitment to the Oxford Circle community and to the holistic vision of OCCCDA.</li>

<li>Teachable and a willingness to learn and be flexible</li>
<li>Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and youth preferably in afterschool setting, however an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Former Group leaders, Parents/caregivers of children, school climate staff, Group leaders and substitute teachers encouraged to apply</li>
<li>All staff must complete the Criminal Record Check and the Pennsylvania Child Abuse Record Check.</li>

&#x25aa; Knowledge and experience working with community youth.<br />

&#x25aa; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse population of youth, parents, and community partners.<br />
&#x25aa; Ability to handle multiple tasks.<br />
&#x25aa; Computer skills and proficiency with word processing and database software programs.</p>
<p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
1. Plan and implement daily out of school program activities (55%)<br />
2. Supervise staff/volunteers assisting with daily activities (10%)<br />
3. Develop relationships and partnerships with the participants&#8217; parents and schools (5%)<br />
4. Work with staff to develop yearly service plan for youth enrolled in out of school program (5%)<br />
5. Develop (and/or review) curriculum for designated instruction sessions (5%)<br />
6. Ensure that accurate and current documentation is maintained as needed for OCCCDA evaluation and funders (10%)<br />
7. Work with Out of School Time program partners and ensure that services are provided as outlined in MOU (5%)<br />
8. Work with other staff to develop a network of social service and support agencies which provide services to community families (5%)</p>
