The program trains teens to work as ambassadors of sustainability, STEAM/STEELS, and history for Independence Seaport Museum visitors. Our unique program format allows high school students to earn money, learn about the science and history of the Delaware River, and move forward as resources to and advocates for their respective communities.

This is a meet-up for young adults ages 18-30. We’ll have pizza, drinks, and kayaking, as well as an environmental science fair. Organizations throughout Philadelphia who work on environmental justice initiatives will join us to share their work. Once you had a chance to chat with a few organizations, sign up for one of our four kayaking slots or grab a slice of pizza and a beer! We will also have a station to learn about the history of environmental justice in Philadelphia and how you can get involved.

So, join us at the Independence Seaport Museum on Thursday, June 26th from 6 PM to 8 PM!

This event is pay what you can, but we suggest you register early. Registration includes access to kayaking, a slice of pizza, and admission to the museum.
