The 28th Global Youth Justice Event is a new “Professional Development Institute” for Adults to Enhance and Expand Youth/Teen/Student/Peer Court and Peer Jury Diversion Programs, which are now Operational in 1800+ Communities in 47 States, DC, 20+ Tribes, and 12 Countries with 100’s more in various stages of development.  While these Youth-Led and Volunteer-Driven Diversion Programs have emerged as the most replicated Juvenile Justice Program in America since the 1st Juvenile Court in 1899, they have also now become one of the Top 5 Youth Service Opportunities for Volunteer Youth in America, while providing other invaluable for all youth involved, such as active civic engagement, youth leadership, positive youth development, and they are providing a rare “Essential Service” to their communities year round.  This “Professional Development Institute” will help position Adults involved in these Diversion Programs to return home with new ideas to further improve critical services for youthful offenders and youth volunteers, and equip them with the knowledge and skill to seek out funding and resources to further support these cost effective and much needed Diversion Programs, to keep youth offenders out of the Justice System, and ultimately out of the Criminal Justice System.

]]> 2021 Global Youth Justice Trainings – Aug 24-26 or Sept 28-29 https://phennd.org/update/2021-global-youth-justice-trainings-aug-24-26-or-sept-28-29/ Tue, 01 Jun 2021 19:00:38 +0000 https://phennd.org/?post_type=update&p=75122 The next 2 Global Youth Justice Trainings to Establish, Enhance and Expand Youth/Teen/Student/Peer Court and Peer Jury Diversion Programs are Las Vegas, Nevada, USA this August 24-26, 2021 (Tuesday to Thursday) and Boston, Massachusetts, USA this September 28-29, 2021 (Tuesday to Wednesday).  Since 2009, we have proudly kept our low registration fee the same price — only $195 with lots of food, as Global Youth Justice subsidizes our Trainings.

Boston Training days are 1 1/2 hours longer each day, 30 minute shorter lunches, and 2 fewer speakers.  The same core training sessions take place in both training locations, despite the Boston Training taking place 2 days, instead of 3 days like Las Vegas.  Boston is a more expensive City, and therefor, we made these adjustments to save money for participants traveling out of state.  Registration for both Trainings is only $195 each, and includes considerable food, as Global Youth Justice Trainings are subsidized.
