<p>The vision of the Dr. Seuss Foundation is a world in which all people, animals, and the environment are valued and thriving.</p>
<p>To that end, grants of at least $10,000 will be awarded to help improve literacy and learning, which are essential in the multi-layered worlds of the arts and humanities, health and well-being, animal welfare, and the environment.</p>
<p>While applicants need not be headquartered in California, the foundation focuses its support on projects in the state.</p>
<p>Letters of Intent may be submitted starting January 1 and are due February 1, 2022. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by March 15, 2022.</p>
<p>Applicants must be a tax-exempt charitable organization in good standing, as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.</p>
