Join the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS) Engaging Males of Color (EMOC) initiative for The Weight of the Crown: The Silent Battles of Leadership. This in-person event will feature a panel conversation with dynamic leaders and create space for reflection, connection, and honest dialogue. Leadership is often celebrated for its victories, but rarely do we acknowledge the weight it carries. The Weight of the Crown invites attendees to pause, reflect, and connect with others who understand that leadership is not just about titles, it is about endurance, vulnerability and truth. The discussion will explore the unseen pressures of leadership, particularly for males of color who shoulder expectations from every direction. Together, we will talk about how to lead without losing ourselves and how to build resilience and reclaim peace in the process.

Cheltenham Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19150 on Saturday, June 21, 2025, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Rain or Shine let’s unite for men and boys, their families, and our communities for the Brothas Stroll.  All are welcome! There will be music, food, and resources. If you were at the Brothas Stroll in March, bring your shirt!

To get to ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church via SEPTA Transportation take the 81 bus to arrive at the Cheltenham-Ogontz bus station.

The EMOC initiative aims to disrupt the behavioral health disparities of men and boys in Philadelphia, improving their health outcomes and dismantling the stigma associated with accessing services.
