We are seeking an ambitious sales-oriented Development Director to implement fundraising efforts in a growing market. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, East Coast, this new position will play an integral part in building relationships that will achieve buildOn&#8217;s revenue goals for Philadelphia.</span></p>
<p>The Development Director will serve as a key ambassador for buildOn in the Philadelphia area. He/She must be a self-starter committed to pro-actively identifying, cultivating and soliciting individual donors and corporate partners. The Development Director must be an excellent communicator and excited by the opportunity to create a program and pipeline that will significantly increase financial support for buildOn. Most importantly, the ideal candidate can demonstrate a history of building successful fundraising campaigns, will be able to hit the ground running, and is inspired to make a difference in the lives of young people here in the United States and around the world.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Secure revenue needed to support afterschool programming in Philadelphia and global school construction – including creating a pipeline for new donors, renewals and opportunities for upgrading gifts.</li>
<li>Grow a portfolio of corporate, foundation and individual donors totally $500,000+. Must be comfortable cultivating and closing gifts of $25,000+ &#8211; and providing the advanced level of stewardship that major gifts require.</li>
<li>Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors/corporations that will lead to sustained multi-year revenue.</li>
<li>Support a dedicated group of volunteers who host an annual fundraising event.</li>
<li>Build and manage an energetic and committed local Board of Directors</li>
<li>Manage affinity groups, such as peer-to-peer fundraising teams and a young professionals network, to secure revenue and raise awareness about our work.</li>
<li>Identify and foster relationships with Philadelphia-area foundations that invest in education and youth development.</li>
<li>Analyze data to find new opportunities and ensure all activities drive efficiencies and maximize results.</li>

<p>Overview of the Role</p>
<p>The Program &amp; Trek Coordinator is responsible for running a successful buildOn program at a buildOn partner high schools that engage a total of 150 students weekly through the buildOn core activities of service, education and building schools. There is one position open in the Philadelphia, PA. The Program &amp; Trek Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the 8 buildOn program strategies to ensure students have a variety of ways to engage with the program to hit the monthly service goal of 975 service hours contributed/month. The Program &amp; Trek Coordinator also cultivates a strong relationship with the partner high school and will ensure strong support from admin and faculty throughout the school year. In addition to this work, the Program and Trek Coordinator recruits, selects, preps and leads, or supports, 2 Trek for Knowledge teams per year to participate in building a school alongside community members in one of our rural project countries.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee buildOn program activities to engage 150 students weekly in contributing 975 hours of service to their community every month.</li>
<li>Implement the 8 buildOn strategies to engage students weekly in the buildOn core activities.</li>
<li>Organize and execute special service events such as Alternative Breaks, Summer Programming and school specific programming</li>
<li>Create and Maintain strong relationships with school and community stakeholders</li>
<li>Monitor and submit weekly Key Performance Indicators through Salesforce</li>
<li>Manage annual Impact Evaluation process for program</li>
<li>Work with Trek Manager to select Trek teams which includes: preparing applications; working with other Program Coordinators to recruit applicants; interviewing candidates, communicating with parents, and selecting Trek participants</li>
<li>Lead Trek for Knowledge in the field which includes: traveling ahead of the team to prepare, school construction; rural host family stay; Wilderness First Responder medical care, emergency response; cultural workshops; language instruction; daily reflection; journaling; and free time</li>
<li>Organize and conduct three Pre-Trek and two Post-Trek workshops which include: teambuilding; primers on cultural immersion; logistical preparation; cultural re-immersion; and preparation for students to share the experience in their communities</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by manager.</li>

<p>Key Requirements</p>
<ul>
<li>buildOn seeks a Youth Development professional who has experience working within a high school running youth development programming</li>
<li>The candidate must have considerable knowledge in the field of Youth Development and Service Learning and should have experience providing training and professional development for staff.</li>
<li>Have good knowledge of the Public School System as well as some familiarity with the Non-Profit Sector in the region.</li>
<li>The candidate should have experience living or working in the city where this position is located.</li>
<li>Relevant 4 year degree &amp; a minimum of 2 years&#8217; experience in youth development and International development work.</li>
<li>Strong leadership, strategic thinking, initiative, problem solving skills and creative ability desired</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to a flexible, fast-paced and dynamic work environment &amp; a team player and positive attitude is a must</li>

<p>Overview of the Role</p>
<p>The Regional Manager will oversee US Programming for all of Philadelphia. Within this role, the qualified candidate will manage and support a team of youth development professionals to run the buildOn program in all partner high schools. As staff are based full time in their partner schools, the Regional Manager is responsible for remote support, extensive regional travel for coaching and observation and for gaining a deep understanding of the environments and communities in which we work. In addition, the Regional Manager will directly run one of our service &amp; education programs in 1 partner school (1-2 days per week). The Regional Manager is in charge of overseeing all operations of US Programs for their region which includes, but is not limited to: financial oversight, maintaining relationships with school systems, building new service and community partnerships, coordinating office logistics &amp; working closely with all departments in buildOn to ensure the success of the organization.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee the program activities for all regional programs, including the core activities: service, sponsorship, global education and leadership development for youth.</li>
<li>Supervise 4 Full Time Program staff in their efforts to recruit, motivate and retain buildOn members to reach buildOn program goals.</li>
<li>Supervise all regional program events: weekend and on-going service projects, Regional Service Projects, Program Summits, and Year End Celebration.</li>
<li>Work directly with PA buildOn students in buildOn programs. Specifically, run a buildOn Service and Education program weekly at 1 partner school.</li>
<li>Monitor and submit weekly Key Performance Indicator data through Salesforce</li>
<li>Manage and track regional program budget.</li>
<li>Explore additional buildOn partner schools for future expansion efforts as outlined in the strategic plan</li>
<li>Manage annual Impact Evaluation for full region</li>
<li>Recruitment, Hiring, Onboarding, Support and Coaching of all Program staff</li>
<li>Develop and implement professional development for program team.</li>
