El Centro Big Picture High School located at 3360 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134 is an intentionally small, accelerated school for young people ages 16–21 who had previously disconnected from school.

We are one of two schools in Philadelphia operated and managed by the nonprofit Big Picture Philadelphia (BPP). BPP uses the Big Picture Learning model—small classroom sizes, a whole-student approach, and real-world learning—to help students find and walk their pathway to success.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and the Associate Director of Grants and Strategic Communications, the Manager of Organizational Initiatives supports development and communications efforts at BPP. The role of the Manager of Organizational Initiatives is two-fold. First, working closely with the Associate Director of Grants and Strategic Communications, the Manager of Organizational Initiatives generates high-quality grant proposals and manages compliance for the lifetime of the grants that are awarded to the organization. They are responsible for obtaining, organizing, and submitting the required documentation for all public workforce grants including, but not limited to, municipal and state grants. In addition, they research and communicate with potential donors and maintain up to date information in the donor management system.

Second, the Manager of Organizational Initiatives supports the implementation of the external communications strategy for BPP with a focus on donor and funder stewardship. They design and produce attractive marketing materials in digital and print formats, enhance BPP s social media presence with a focus on the organization s Instagram and Twitter accounts, and manage email marketing communications using Constant Contact.

Under the direction of the Executive Director (ED), the Director of Operations will support the operational, non-academic needs across Big Picture Philadelphia, including at El Centro de Estudiantes High School and Vaux Big Picture High School. BPP’s IT Specialists deploy, manage, and support school tech: computers, data networks, displays, printers, and software services. This role mentors interns, and reports to both the school’s Principal and BPP’s Director of Technology.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare laptops and desktops for staff, student, and community use
• Install and maintain tech infrastructure, such as networks, displays, and printers
• Administer users and assets, primarily in Google Workspace
• Support staff and students’ use of school technology, remotely and in-person
