Summer Associates

The PHENND Summer Associates program enrolls just graduated high school seniors intending to pursue higher education in summer-only, full-time AmeriCorps positions.  During the program, the Summer Associates provide service to summer youth programs, while also attending pre-college guidance sessions with PHENND.  Like all full-time AmeriCorps members, the Associates are paid a bi-weekly living stipend and earn a pro-rated Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.

For summer 2024, the program will partnered with the following organizations who are both referring program alumni as members for the program, and also hosting them during their summer service.

• University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships
• Squash Smarts
• Temple University’s Community Collaborative of Philadelphia
