Climate Resilience Youth Council

PHENND works with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Sustainability to develop and convene a Climate Resilience Youth Council which focuses on climate change literacy and civic education. The Council consists of high school-aged youth from diverse communities across Philadelphia, with 19 members representing a variety of school types (public, parochial, private, charter, and home). The CRYC will provide feedback and input on the City’s Resilience Plan Update. PHENND is providing the youth training on climate literacy basics and civic education generally, as well as overview of Philadelphia’s Climate Resilience plan specifically. Throughout the year we will garner feedback from the youth and guide them through implementation of their own climate resilience projects.
