Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dreamer
Posted by on April 12, 2010
Saturday, April 24th, 12 Noon – 4:30 p.m. (On-site registration begins at 11:30am)
Join West Chester University’s Sustainability Advisory Council and other co-sponsors for Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dreamer, an experiential workshop that explores ways of creating a world that is socially just, environmentally sustainable, and spiritually fulfilling. Using dynamic video clips, participants hear from far-sighted community leaders—Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Julia Butterfly Hill, Van Jones, Paul Hawken and many more—on everything from the planet’s dwindling biodiversity to growing socio-economic gaps. The event also includes lively breakout groups and practical tools. Participants will leave the Symposium empowered to take clear steps to embody their vision for a better world, and having established new connections to work with others on common issues.
The Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium (ATD) is an initiative of The Pachamama Alliance, a San Francisco-based non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to a new global vision of sustainability and equity for all. Please register online at http://www.awakeningthedreamer.org or call Paul Morgan at 610-436-6945 (pmorgan@wcupa.edu) for more information. A contribution of $10 towards refreshments and expenses is appreciated. FREE for students and seniors. Advance registration allows us to plan appropriately. Location: West Chester University’s Philips Autograph Library (700 South High Street) West Chester, PA 19383. http://www.wcupa.edu
