Workforce Session

Please join us on Tuesday, April 6th for a joint session of the Philadelphia Youth Network and the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board. The session is designed to assist you with your workforce development needs. The session will include:
• Labor market information
• Resources for talent development of incumbent workers
• Building a youth pipeline program
• An opportunity to network and connect with your peers

Generations in the Workplace

Please join us on Friday, April 30th for Generations in the Workplace. For the first time in history, organization managers are working with four distinct and very different generations of employees – Matures, Boomers, Xers, and Millennials (Gen Y). Each generation is motivated quite differently, seeks very different personal and professional goals, and interprets accepted business practices, business etiquette, and rules in their own diverse way. This session will address these issues and give practical techniques on improving working relationships among the different generations in the workplace. The session will include specific strategies to engage high school students in the workplace(the younger millennials).
