Good Intentions: The Beliefs and Values of Teens and Tweens Today
Girl Scout Research Institute
New research by the Girl Scout Research Institute and pollsters Harris Interactive, finds that “contrary to media portrayals of a generation lost,” young people today are “civic minded, value diversity, acceptance and community involvement.” The report concludes that this generation of youth is “even more committed to these values than their predecessors were 20 years ago.” Also stressed is the critical role of adults in shaping positive youth behavior.
