Early Learning Center Lead Teacher
EducationWorks is searching for Lead Teachers for our Early Learning Center. The fundamental goal of the Early Learning Center (ELC) is to provide a safe, warm, nurturing atmosphere to promote each child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. The daily curriculum and activities are designed to help children develop skills to think critically, creatively and independently. The curriculum allows for an age-appropriate daily routine and schedule of activities while maintaining particular attention to each child’s individual interests and developing competencies.
The Early Learning Center Lead Teacher, under the supervision of the Early Learning Center Director, is responsible for daily planning and for directly participating with children assigned to the classroom. The Lead Teacher coordinates the services of all caregivers in the classroom—staff, AmeriCorps members, and volunteers. The Lead Teacher manages the classroom in accordance with State and local regulations and EW policies to ensure that children placed in the classroom receive high-quality and appropriate developmental care in a safe environment.
