Domestic Hunger Program
Posted by on August 11, 2008
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is accepting applications for the Domestic Hunger Program, which provides relief and development assistance for those who suffer from hunger and injustices related to hunger in the United States. In 2008, the program awarded more than three hundred discretionary domestic grants totaling $787,600 in the areas of relief, development and organizing.
Priority will be given to people with the least resources for meeting their basic needs, as well as women and children living in poverty. Organizations may submit only one application per year and can be funded up to three consecutive years. The deadline for submitting applications is October 1st.
