The Southern Alleghenies Learn and Serve Alliance (SALSA) presents:
Call for Presenters: 3rd Annual Service-Learning Workshop
Reach Out: Partnerships that Benefit YOU
May 1, 2010
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Juniata College von Liebig Center for Science, Huntingdon, PA
Open to the community, the workshop is designed to unite community partners, students, faculty, and staff interested in learning more about service-learning and civic engagement.
We anticipate a wide array of presentations that focus on around partnership, service-learning, and civic engagement. For this reason, SALSA invites you to submit a presentation proposal for its annual workshop.
Workshops or presentations are one hour. They should be designed to look at different facets of service-learning and civic engagement. Presenters will offer solutions about how their work, research, program initiatives, courses, and partnerships move us toward a more engaged society/institution. Presentations should be designed to analyze and generate conversation addressing various dimensions of service and engagement. Extra consideration will be given to workshops that engage the audience.
