Governor Rendell and the Pennsylvania Department of Education are committed to President Obama’s call to action: to ensure that America will regain its lost ground and have the highest proportion of students graduating from college in the world by 2020. The 2010 Governor’s conference will explore ways the state and individual institutions can work to achieve President Obama’s goal and why these efforts are critically important to the future of this nation.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) welcomes session proposals relevant to the conference theme and aligned with one of following tracks:
* Preparing for Success in Higher Education
* Succeeding in Higher Education
* Foundations for Institutional Success
PDE invites proposals based on program evaluations, original research and scholarship, best practices in programming and policy, and critical issues facing higher education in Pennsylvania and the nation as a whole.
To submit a session proposal, complete the Call for Proposals Form available at http://www.PAHigherEdConference.com and email to Sue Walker, Conference Coordinator, at swalker@pahigheredconference.com no later than midnight on Monday, March 1, 2010.
